All the Fun of the Fair will open in the West End's Garrick Theatre on 28th April.
The musical is set in a travelling funfair and is the story of its owner Levi Lee (played by Essex), who is coming to terms with the loss of his wife.
The title is taken from Essex's 1975 album and features hits from the singer's career, including favourites Winters Tale, Hold Me Close, Rock On and Gonna Make You a Star.
Also starring is Christopher Timothy (from television's Doctors), Louise English (Oliver!). Nicola Brazil (Hairspray) and Michael Pickering (Wicked).
The production is co-written by Jon Conway and is directed by David Gilmore. It will run until 5th September 2010.
