Channel 4 have announced that Camilla Campbell is to be appointed as Head of Drama, replacing Liza Marshall.
Campbell, who will be leaving her post as commissioning editor for drama series at the broadcaster, has been the driving force behind hits such as Skins and Shameless.
Marshall is departing to join Scott Free UK as Head of Film and Drama, the production company owned by Ridley Scott.
The axing of Big Brother means that Channel 4 will be investing an extra £20 million from 2011 into drama.
