Les Mis received its world premiere at the Barbican Theatre in 1985, and now 25 very successful years later, the current touring production will revisit the venue later this year for a short run.
It means that for the very first time, two productions of the same show will run in the same city simultaneously. The original West End version is currently running at the Queen's Theatre.
Les Mis is the world's longest running musical and has been seen by 56 million worldwide, in 21 different languages.
The musical is based on Victor Hugo's novel set in 19th Century France during the revolution. The tour is currently starring John Owen-Jones, Earl Carpenter and Gareth Gates.
It will run at the Barbican Theatre from 14th September to 2nd October 2010.
