Norway has swept the board winning the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow.
Alexander Ryback, who gave a charming performance with his own song Fairytale, topped the board with 387 points. It also broke Eurovision records by becoming the most popular song in the competition's 53 year history.
23 year old Ryback has played violin and piano since he was five years old and is due to star in a movie later in the summer.
The United Kingdom made a welcome comeback after years of poor performances with It's My Time composed by Andrew Lloyd-Webber. 21 year old Jade Ewen made the top five. Andrew Lloyd-Webber said of her performance before the results: “Whatever happens here tonight , a star is born.”
